I've got genomics next semester. I have NO idea what to expect, how to study, what resources to use, etc. It doesn't seem to be that common in BSN curriculums....makes me nervous. I'm not the biggest fan of genetics....I like it fine, but there are other hard science courses I'd much rather take!

Calm down. They will tell you what you need to know. Sounds like an interesting class to me. I know that there has been a LONG study going on that has resulted in the development of genetic testing to save lives. Breast cancer, for instance. You might be the only nurse in your future employer's facility that will know this stuff!

Embrace genomics! It's really interesting, and you will find that it's really not that bad. I wish we took that as a course itself in my BSN program, but we touched on it a bit in Population Health 2. Very cool stuff. Good luck!
