I wanted to start a support thread for those of us who are taking the traditional route for graduate school (BSN-MSN). I am starting an FNP program in the fall. I've been a nurse for a little over a year now, and I'm very excited to be starting school again. Anyone else?

I am starting as a part-time FNP student this fall, though I did take a course as a "special student" in the spring. I am interested in talking to fellow students a well.

I am hopefully starting an Adult NP program in the Spring. I am taking stats in the Fall. The core courses are online and then the rest of the courses are on campus.
I have been a nurse for 7 years.

I'll be starting my neonatal NP the end of August- BSN-->MSN. We'll see how it goes!
I am so excited!! Orientation for school is next week and then classes begin the following week. Right now, I am enrolled part-time, but I am strongly considering switching to the full-time track before classes begin. Are you guys full-time or part-time and why did you choose the route that you did?

Hi everyone! Although I'm in my last year of school, I just wanted to wish you all good luck with your grad program! It was the best decision I ever made! Working as a FNP student is exactly the challenge I needed. Graduation is going to be a fine and happy day!

Thanks for the encouragement, Yellow Finch! Good luck in your last year of school.
Do you attend your program full- or part-time and how has it been? Any advice?

I attended the program f/t the first year since didactic doesn't take up as much time as clinicals. The second year of the program I'm doing p/t in order to continue working f/t. I rely on that paycheck...
