Anyone starting LPN school this August?

I thought it would be great for all of us starting our LPN school in August to get to know each other now. We are going to have a lot to talk about very soon. :)

Hey Everybody,

Great idea on the club thing Michelle. I am very excited for school, too, but isn't anyone nervous? I am! I haven't taken classes in quite awhile, so not sure if I'm prepared. I've also never taken a course at the school I'll be completing the LPN program, so I haven't met any of the other students yet. This is why I'm so glad to have found this site.

Me too, Its been 10 years since I have really been in a school enviroment. I am so, so nervous. I am 30 and have spent more time with my kids than anything else. So I am nervous and at the same time very excited at the chance to live out my dream. So its nice to hear from you and all others. Best wishes to you in all that you do. :p

What a relief to see that I am not the only one over 30 to change careers and start LPN. I'm 31 and living in Colorado. 3 kids. Been paralegal with same law firm for 9 years. So ready for a change but soooo very nervous. I'm having to take the private school route due to the unrealistic wait lists and full-time working restrictions. Had many doubts about my age and the career change at this stage of life but feel so much better after reading everyone's thoughts on this site :) Thanks!

Hi, everybody!

My name is Sarah. I live in Vermont with my partner and ten y.o. daughter-- I am also starting an LPN program at our local technical college in August. It's so hard right now to figure out all of the details! Work, not work, where to work? ... I just wish it were started so I could get going! :rolleyes: Good luck to you all! Keep in touch-- I'm going to ned your help with memorizing A& P !!! LOL :p
