I'm not an agency nurse but I do bring them in to my facility to fill needs. We had to cancel one recently due to the staff not being able to meet our employment requirements. We go through medefis and our contact there said a bunch of contracts are being terminated right now because of the economic impacts of COVID. I'm not sure of your specific situation but that could be why.

It happened to me recently. They cancelled me on March 9 when I had maybe about a month left. But they changed their mind like 4 days later.

Yep, my first travel nursing contract was cancelled after the first week. Bummer, but it was a crisis pay job, and with plummeting covid hospitalizations, I rather expected it. Luckily, I was able to quickly secure a local contract with my agency and didn't miss a beat.

I have been canceled a couple times. Both at Kaiser hospitals. The management calls the agency with lies and exaggerations and the agency does not have the ability to advocate for its nurses.

I have been working for an agency that provide staffing for COVID testing in movie set/VIP. It was suppose to be a contract for 4-6 months but it was getting very quiet at work so the agency call me and said that I am terminated on the ground that I was late for a VIP appointment! I think they are trying to find excuse to just save money since it is very slow at work!
