Hi. I am currently in the Acute & Chronic Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program and have been seriously considering going into the Navy or AF. My question is, once I have this degree, would I be working witgh kids or would they send me off somewhere else...I have heard that everyone is a nurse & they will send you to work in places that may not be your specialty. Is there any truth to that? Also, are there many NP positions in Pediatrics?
Any help would be greatly appreciated (I have actually been batting around the idea of military nursing for about 4 yrs now...perhaps I should make the decision already :-) ).
Thanks for your help!
