there's a bunch of adn->bsn transition student in my class at UHM (first semester). i'm pretty sure most of them are from KCC. from what i can tell, they were a bit surprised with the depth of the material for our nursing fundamentals course. they didn't do too well on the first miderm.. but i think most've them are adjusting to the BSN program.
it's kind've silly that they're doing clinicals with us though. the RN in my clinical group is obviously very experiend in doing a basic health history and PE. i can understand a lot of the additional theory classes they have to take for their BSN. clinicals not so much.
That is very interesting. And yeah, ive heard kccs program has a lot of clinical training which of course is good so you get the experience.
Do you happen to know if some people who apply to the adn>bsn/rn>bsn program at UH not get accepted? I heard if someone finishes the KCC adn program and goes to the UH program, its most likely that they would definitely get in. Is that true?
But thank you for your reply. :)

last i heard is that KCC students are granted automatic acceptance once they finish their UHM pre-reqs. i'm not sure if this policy has changed though. UHM has different advisors now so you'd hafta ask them.
