I am a LCN student on the EIU campus in Charleston, Illinois and plan to graduate in Dec 07. There are many hoops I feel this college makes you jump though but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and feel that it is all worth it.
Also I'm new to this forum and noticed that this post was back in Aug 06 but I'm curious if you choose to go to Lakeview?
Hi everyone!
I am new to this blog and site. I am entering Lakeview college of nursing in spring of 2008. I am from Alaska, so new to Illinois as well as the school. If anyone has any advice please help me out! I am so nervous and I will be taking 20 credits for the first semester. I heard that it's a hard school. I will be attending the Eastern Illinois campus, is this the better of the two and why? Any information will be appreciated.
Thanks guys!
I replied on the above thread also; I am a Dec 2006 Lakeview grad on the EIU campus. I enjoyed the teachers and classes, I loved the EIU atmosphere, it was difficult like any nursing school, but prepared me well for NCLEX. There was a bit of administrative disorganization at the beginning, but overall I didn't have any issues....feel free to ask me any more questions (I still keep in touch w/one of my favorite teachers from there!)
