Hi,
This is my first time in the lottery, and I was just seeing if there is any others out there waiting to find out for this upcoming semester. If I don't get in I am going to Fresno State to work on my Dietetics degree while I wait.

I am waiting for my results for the spring program as well. I am so nervous. I hope you and I both get accepted.
Good Luck! Let me know if you get in. How early do you think they will post the results?
Not sure. I hope by midnight, but i doubt that's going to happen. Good luck to everyone.

Best of luck. I have a question everyone: I am thinking of applying to both Fresno City and College of the Sequoias (forget West Hills). What kind of reputation does Fresno City's program has as opposed to COS? Does one program has an advantage over another in terms of the quality of training and employability in the future etc., if I wanted to work in Fresno?
Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, I've applied to fresno city and will be apply to my csu pretty soon as well. Fresno city is really hard to get into due to it being extremely impacted. Why forget west hills?? i am applying there soon. I am also applying to COS and I have a friend who is retaking a class she got an B in the first time. I heard cos is hard to get to as well. You can only have one B even tho the pre req say only 2.5 gpa. A lot of ppl have higher than that so they only accept the top. My friend has an A in anat and B in physio and micro. She is retaking micro for an A. It's crazy becuz i consider Having an B a good grade. but since so many ppl always try to have the best of the best grades to improve their chances of getting in it makes it hard for ppl who have B's to get in compared to ppl who have straight A's.. THat's just competition. Fresno city has a lottery system and i applied and dind't get in once. I am waiting for the next round. I don't have any hope of getting into any junior college. I am going through the CSU's to get in. CSU's are more gpa, and teas geared. I feel like i have a better chance getting in there. also why forget west hills. I was shocked wen i read that. is that a bad school or soemthing? also as far as reputation goes if you pass your an Rn no matter what school you go to. I am not sure how the teachers are but have heard good things from both schools. It's hard to be picky now since it's so hard to get into any nursing school. I have pretty good grades but ccompared to other they aren't that great. Most people feel now it doesn't matter if they don't get acdepted to their school of choice. As long as they get accepted some where they are happy..Also it's hard to find a job sometimes after you graduate. My sister in law drives an hour one way to work at a hospital in a different town. You won't always get the job where you want. You have to just be happy sometimes that you even get a job. ... HOpe this helps... I really hope to get into either one of the two schools you mentioned above. I also hope you get in as well.
Thanks for the quick and very helpful reply, gurjit123. I really hope you'll get into one of the programs around here. I know the competition is fierce out there right now, but you seem determined. Good luck! About West Hills, I need to look more into their program. They have just recently resurrected their program after cutting it several years ago (that's my understanding). I just wanted to see experience and stability in a program, that's all.
Hey thanks:) Well, I live in bakersfield and I've applied to the junior college here and will be applying to csub soon. So that's two colleges you might also want to check out. I always hear great things abt state colleges because they offer BSN as opposed to ADN. I have great grades which is a must to get into a state college but also you need a really good score on the teas exam which i don't currently have. If you have good grades and score at least 80 or above on the entrance exam you have a really good chance of getting in. That is also if you do well on the interview. Going to a csu beats the waiting and you know your going to get an good education because they offer a BSN. Plus, I never really liked semester systems and CSUB is like a UC it goes by the quarter system. CSUB is my school of choice but I can't be picky about nursing. I will be happy if i get in anywhere. I find out mid nov if i get accepted to the junior college i applied to here. SO nervous. My odds of getting picked at this junior college compared to fresno city are doubled. typically 300 students or so apply as opposed to the 600 students at fresno city.
I am still applying to west hills. My advice is apply to every college you can. Where did u do your pre requirements at?

I was in that lottery and didn't get picked... 3rd time, Fall 2012.
Just got accepted to transfer to Fresno State, really excited. Fresno State admissions are frozen for Spring 2013.
I got accepted to two community colleges. I am waiting to find out about CSUB. Fingers crossed:)
Congrats jval
Wow, gurjit, congratulations on those two admissions! That's amazing! Goodluck with CSUB!
All I need is an A- or B+ in statistic which is the class I am taking now and I should be in. Finals next week so nervous. YIkes!
Thanks:)
