Anyone homeschooling & traveling

Hello,

My husband and I are both RN's and are planning on travel nursing for a while starting next year. We have two children, one will be in the 10th grade and the other in the 5th. I've looked at some homeschooling sites, and the listings of each state's legal requirements for homeschoolers. Has anyone taken multiple assignments during a school year while travel nursing. If so, how did you handle the state(s) requirements being different? Thanks for any info.:blushkiss XY-RN & XX-RN

I homeschool my 12 year old daughter. I plan to start traveling as soon as I finish my RN. I'm a LPN now and work fri and sat nights.

I would think as long as you're complying with your original state of residency you will be o.k.

I live in Gulfport MS and had to evacuate to NC due to Katrina. I wasn't sure how long I would be up there so I got information about their homeshool regulations and got in contact with someone. You shouldn't have any problems.

I love homeschooling and plan to take my kids everywhere. My husband is military and will retire next year.

I homeschool my child (he's 16). The only regulations that you have to follow is the ones set by your state of residency. At one RV park we had to give the part our proof, which was the affidavit signed and sent to the Arizona school board stating that we were homeschooling. Also, in some states, this is only until the are 16, then they can "dropout"... ie, the state doesn't mandate that you keep them in school past that age. For obvious reasons though, you would want to keep your child in school.

I have used both the AlphaOmega curriculum and the Abeka curriculum that are both christian based, but you can find some secular ones if that is what you would like.
