Hey everyone! Has anyone gotten an invitation for interview to OLOL college in Baton Rouge yet? I know the deadline was last week, so just wondering if anyone has received that phone call or letter yet!

No, I haven't. No email or anything yet.

OLOL holds their interviews in late spring. If they plan to conduct interviews in the same timeframe as last year, you may be waiting awhile(March) to hear from them. In the interim, it's probably a good idea to fill out a FAFSA for the upcoming academic year. Good luck...

I was told over the phone Thursday that OLOL will be calling this coming up week to set up interviews. I was under the impression they are going to call you on the phone.

I got a letter in the mail today 2/1/08 stating my interview date and time (March 3, 2008 10:30AM) and that I need to respond back to confirm this time. The admissions coordinator had told me I would get a letter or a call next week. Has anyone interviewed at OLOL before?

I received an interview letter on Jan. 29, 2008 for OLOL Anesthesia program. The interview is set for March 4, 2008 @ 9:30am. Best of luck to all other applicants.

I am scheduled for an interview March 5th at 10:00 am. Recieved the letter a few days ago.

I got my letter Jan 29th as well. Has anyone heard what kind of questions will be asked. Does anyone have any suggestions for this interview or know anyone who has gone through this program?

Does anyone know how the OLOL program interviews are laid out? Does anyone know someone who attended this program? How were the interviews, etc. Interviewing on Feb 25th. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey guys! I recently got accepted to TCU, so I turned down my interview for OLOL. However, I know two people in the program and I interviewed at OLOL last year (obviously didn't get in last year:cry:)...so maybe I can help you out!:smokin: I know this forum helped me a great deal before my interview at TCU...

The interview is very casual. It was similar to TCU's interview, I felt very comfortable. It is a get-to-know you type interview. They do ask clinical questions, but they give you a test on paper that you can go sit in a room and quietly answer the questions. Its basically CCRN stuff, except not that difficult. Know your PALS, I remember a few peds questions. I did really well on it, so don't stress over it. Just remember when they talk to you, they are looking for specific things. Such as how committed you REALLY are to this program, and how you prepared not only with education, but financially. When I applied last year, it was the only school I applied to, and they only accepted 30 students out of 122 interviewed. My friends in the program said they received WAY MORE applicants this year than ever! So I'm not sure how many will be interviewed this time. The school is relatively new, so they didn't have the staff needed to support more students, nor do I know if they want more? Someone said they like their classes small so they can spend more time with each student. Hopefully they have more faculty this year, so you guys have a better shot!

My friends that are in the program love it. The program structure is quite different to other programs in that you do part of your hands-on clinicals during your didatic phase... Hope this helps!!

I wish you all the best!!
