Has anyone heard back from CSM yet?

I received a mail from CSM today. I was told that I am on the waiting list no. 222. My gosh!! Last week I got a mail from csu sonoma saying I am on a waiting list no. 61. Finally, I got a mail from SFSU that I got accepted into the BSN Sequoia program. ya!!! I dont care about other schools now...hehehe

That's hilarious!! 222 on the waitlist? and they only seat 60 students!!

I also got a letter from CSM and I'm 64 on the waitlist....for a class of 60 students.

The letter said to hold onto it and submit it with the 2011 application. What's the point of that?

I have no idea. But I have a friend who applied for the 2nd time with this letter. I dont know how she's doing at this point. Didnt you apply to other schools?

I did. I'm on the waitlist at another school, and have been told I will "probably" start in January. I was just hoping for something this fall.

wanna be an rn- yes I live in San Mateo. I work here and study here. I will probably die here too hahaha....

Good thing that I got accepted to the Canada/Sequoia program. So I dont have to move to some place else. Also, double good thing is that I work for a former Canada/Sequoia student. Ya!!! she will give me all advice i need and all the books yippeee cant be happier than this...

I just spoke with someone from the CSM nursing office and she said the waitlist letters give you additional lottery numbers. The more waitlist letters you submit with your application, the more lottery numbers you are given. So, apparently they do a lottery very similiar to Los Medanos, which I didn't realize and they don't state on the website.

Wow, I thought I had it bad when I received a letter on April 13th saying I was number 42 on the wait list. 200??? That's insane.

I recently took Nursing 666 Careers in Nursing at CSM. The instructor said CSM lost a grant; instead of 60 students being admitted, it will drop down to 50 for Fall of 2010.

So, they're admitting only 50 now, and yet they have a waitlist of over 200? What's the point of that? I wonder how many applicants they had this year. The nursing admin told me they had "tons" more applications this year than last.
