Hi. I will be a second year student at harper college. We were just informed that we are taking the hesi that pertains to the first year curriculum in the fall. We have not recieved any official word that we are taking it at the end of the program, but I assume that we will. It helps the school ensure that whoever takes the NCLEX will most likely pass. The percentage pass rate is a part of accreditation. They need to stay above a certain percentage. And the school receives funding reimbursment from the state or the government for the students that pass the exam. If anyone has any questions about the program I would be happy to answer them. I was in the first cohort of the new curriculum and because of that missed out on scoop about the program. Good Luck to everyone!

I am one of those "special people" that need micro. Thankfully Sandy called today and let me know which one she signed me up for and that we need to sign up by monday because that is when they open all the nursing classes to everyone else. I got into Mack's micro. Yeah! Lilbutterfly, did you go on tuesday? It was very stressful. I hope this CNA thing isnt as big of a deal as they make it.

I got into Macks Micro on MW 1-1:50class 2-3:40lab.

Sorry I should have been more specific, Sandy is the secretary in the nursing office.

Yes I did attend the meeting on tuesday. OMG it is very stressful I hate this!!! Well at least you have been working as a CNA for some time now. On the other hand I have not so I am very nervous and stressed out!!

Sandy, the secretary in the nursing office, called me today and told me what micro class she signed me up for and told me to sign up for the rest of the classes by monday because they are going to open the other classes up for the rest of the students. At first I was told we would be doing registration on August 3rd during our next meeting.

ugh this is insane! Thats what I was told and i havent received a call. How do we know what classes we need to sign up for anyway?

Did you already take micro? If so, then you need to register for NUR110, 111, 112, and 180. Also PSY228 if you dont have that. NUR 111 and 112 are classes during the second 8 weeks of class and NUR110 is during the first 8 weeks. If you dont have micro yet then Cathy should be contacting you and sending an email. Where were you sitting if I may ask. It would be nice to put a face with a chat. I was sitting at the end of the first table with a purple shirt and short hair.

I was sitting on the first table I was wearing a red sweatshirt I am the really short gir my hair was in a pony tail lol. i was sitting with my friend she is korean. This is so stupid because everything is so unorganized!
