Just wondering if anyone else has been accepted into U.C.'s BSN program... If so reply here!!!!

Hi demi07, I am 2 years late, lol. I got accepted for fall of 2011. I had a 3.58 and the gpa cut off for the main campus was a 3.51 so I thankfully made the cut. Can you tell me about the program? How hard is it? Are you able to work? Do you still have your books, what can of supplies are needed? How much money have you spend on supplies? How big are the classes? How many students have dropped? Where have you done clinicals? I also heard they have a coop program, sorry I have so many questions thanks.

yay you got in!:yeah:Congrats... your sophmore year is not too challenging its the junior year that sort of tripped me up in the Med surg course. The most expensive expense are text books. I may still have a few and I'll share if you need them. supplies I would suggest are many highlighters since you'll be reading a lot lol. Other than that you'll use many of the same things you used in pre nursing classes. Save up a little money to purchase your stethoscope this fall and your clinical uniforms maybe about $150. not many students have dropped but about 10 of my classmates failed our med surg course. So my class started with around 120 students and now around 100-110. I still manage to work part time while in school and its not too bad but I wouldn't suggest over 20hrs a week. There is a co-op program which you apply for during your senior year and we have a study abroad program which is also great. I hope I answered some questions congrats again!

I got accepted for the Fall 2011 program at UC Clermont, but I didn't go because it was over an hour drive. I am hoping to get into nursing school somewhere more close and for just a 2 year degree program. Good luck to you at UC! (=

thanks, and I understand about taking that hour commute. I also got accepted to raymond walters but I decided not to because it was too far out for me. So I chose main campus. What other schools have you been looking at?

demi07, how has your experience with the program gone so far? where have you done clinicals?

I'm hoping to start Galen in 2012 although I don't know very much about the school. I'm going to schedule a tour soon around the beginning of the year.
