Anyone familiar with work study?

[not now, RN]

I applied for a Student Nurse position where I currently work since I'll be starting RN school soon (associates LVN to RN program). I'm an LVN now, my unit is slow so I don't really see much and I wanted to transfer to a busier floor where I would get more exposure. I need to be enrolled in a work study program by September 30.

When I checked the status of my financial aid it stated my status was "max units attempted." Understandable since general ed and LVN school piled on a lot of units. I know I'm not eligible for any type of grant but I did get the Board Of Governers Fee Waiver. Did anyone have this problem? Will I still be eligible for work study or should I not even bother?
