Anyone familiar with RN/LPN Refresher Courses by Kane Educational Seminars?

Has anyone heard of / attended the RN/LPN refresher courses by Kane Educational Seminars (www.nurserefresher.com)? They hold 1 day (6 hour) refresher programs in which nurses who want to re-enter the field can brush up on their clinical skills. They are based out of Florida but travel to other states and the 1 day course costs approximately $250. Would this course be a good one to take? Is this legitimate? Or are there better refresher courses out there, maybe ones that are longer and include both hands-on and book-type reviews? Thank you ahead of time!

Kane RN and IV Refresher courses were short, sweet, and succinct. Many clinical procedures are much more simpler than they used to be. Instructor was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend these two courses for individuals who are fine with theory, but want to become more familiar with newer equipment or reacquainted with equipment they haven't used in a few years.

I know this thread is old but it may help someone else. I took the IV update and certification a couple days ago and it was wonderful! The instructor was very knowledgeable and it was a very comfortable learning environment. I do not learn as easily when I am in constant fear of being called on or singled out. I like to listen and then ask questions or do repeat demonstrations. I am very hands on. The instructor really helped me learn in the way that was comfortable for me. We practiced IV starts on fake arms which was kind of silly but it was better than nothing. I have never started an IV or drawn blood before and we had the chance to practice both. I feel more comfortable with the equipment now. Very pleased with the course. I would consider taking another one.
