Hello everyone, I recently got offered a State RN job here in Orlando, and I was wondering if anyone here have worked for the State before or currently does? I was sooo shocked at how little State jobs pay, and contemplating whether I should take it or not. It pays less than my current job, but I think I will like this job better. I would love to hear some of your experiences working for the State ;). The program I got an offer on is Children Medical Services specifically for Foster care. Thanks all!! :nurse:

The state does pay less but the military pays more ie. health department. I worked at a military hospital and made about $2 more an hour. Government jobs look good on a resume. Sometimes you have to look at what you're happy doing. Good luck!
