Hey, all! Just wondering if anyone else out there is about to start their last semster of lpn school? I start tomorrow and am SO excited / nervous etc.! I started this time last year and BOY has it been a wild, crazy - hectic, yet fulfilling year! I'm hoping to graduate in May and will try to maintian NO LESS than a 3.00 gpa! I plan on starting Excelsior College's RN program 3 - 6 months after I begin whatever LPN job I snag after graduating. I must be NUTS to start all this at age 37, huh?!?! LOL!! My ultimate goal is to become an advanced practice nurse down the road! I gave up a great paying job ( which I HATED!!) as a provider relations specialist to finally pursue my dreams of truly helping people. I have NEVER felt so fulfilled doing work at clinicals as I have during the course of any other job I have ever held! I really think I am going to LOVE nursing!! I felt so at HOME, even on the first week on the floor.
Anyway...good luck to all of you this semester! I'll try to post every now and again. I used to frequent this board quite a bit, but last semester kicked my ASS, lol! I had classes M-F and worked weekends as a direct care worker for a group home for developmentally disable adults. So, yea, I basically had NO life at ALL!! It'll all be worth it in the end, though! Can't wait!!
