Anyone else having problems with getting a date from MPAC (please excuse my rant!)?

Published

I am getting so frustrated!! I spoke with someone at the MPAC last week on the 22nd and was told that I was next on the scheduler's desk and was supposed to receive a date on the 22nd, 23rd at the latest. Of course that didn't happen!! I let it go knowing that it probably didn't happen due to the holiday. I'm desperately trying to figure things out and my work is anxiously awaiting for me to provide them with availability for the upcoming months...plus there's some pressure to get the "RN" behind my name!

I rushed home today to check my email only to find out that nothing has happened today! I called again and left a message with the scheduler - polite and apologizing for being a "pest" about this, but indicated I really needed a date due to work purposes. Unfortunately, I missed her return call which is probably a good thing because I think I would've lost it! Her message did nothing but tell me that "She does other things besides scheduling and she hopes to get me scheduled soon, maybe by the end of the week, but she wasn't sure. She's scheduled 100's of students lately and blah blah blah." This makes me even more upset! I hate that I paid $2000 to be in limbo like this. I hear all these other stores of people calling and getting dates over the phone, and I just keep getting pushed around. I feel as if this scheduler needs to realize if it wasn't for me and these 100's of other students, she wouldn't have a job right now!

Sorry for the rant, just curious if anyone else is experiencing this anxiety and frustration.

I'm sorry to hear that. But MPAC has the longest waiting period among all testing centers. When I was deciding where to take my CPNE, I called all centers and at MPAC I was told that the waiting is about 6-8 month. How long have you already waited for?

I'm sure if they told you that they going to schedule you soon, they will. If you waited for so long, what is another week? And after you have your date - you will be surprised how fast the time will pass by and you will have to go to pass the CPNE. Mine is in 1.5 weeks and I'm starting to freak out :) I wish I had another month or so, lol.

Enjoy your holidays while you can :) After you get the date it will be study-study-study :)

Good luck!

Go to New York. You will get a date so much sooner.

It's not that I want a date soon, I just need a date! My work availability was due on Monday and they're trying to be understanding but... you know how that goes!
