Anyone Doing ISU LPN-BSN Program?

Published

If you are doing the Indiana State University LPN-BSN program or if interested in program post here. It's an accredited online nursing program with clinicals done at an approved site near you. It is time to move forward and I believe your time is NOW.

Specializes in Hospice.

I'm interested in the program, I put in my contact stuff to have someone call me with more info. Hopefully they call today.

missellamae, I am sure someone woill contact you. Are you considering fall 2012 or sprin2013? I'm hoping to be in this fall 2012 class. Have you applied to the university already? Apply to university first and then apply to nursing program. Do you have lots of prereqs to complete? Completing all prereqs is paart of phase 1, unless you have a BS/BA degree already and then you are exempt from phase 1.

Phase 2 consist of 4 challenge exams and the TEAS exam

Phase 3 consist of nursing theory and clinicals.

I may off a little on some of the information, but call the university.

Thank you for the info! I have my sciences to complete as far as my prereqs but I don't want to go thru TCN I heard they were super expensive.

Please don't be mislead, you do not have to go through TCN for anything. Please go directly through ISU. The next deadline is Nov. 1 for Spring semester.

TCN keeps calling and leaving messages but really all I need is to do my prereqs and then apply for ISU right?

Yes and take the teas exam and 4 challenge exams. hat prereqs do you have left to take?

Just my sciences I believe, I have English, math, psych and sociology. Everytime I try and add a science it's full or in wait listed and never get in :( its so frustrating!

You can contact the instructor to get approval to take the class although it may be full. Become a transient student, even though you are enrolled in a college it will allow you to take classes elsewhere if classes are full.

I have a family member who is a doctor, he says this sounds sketchy so to speak. All nurse programs that are legitimate should be posted on your state website....check it out before you waste a bunch of time and money to find your accreditation mean nothing. I was under the impression you always had to physically go to classes

Your family member could have been misinformed about some of the details. ISU is an approved program, and is accepted in various states. NLN approved etc. Clinicals are done at hospitals. Go to website indstate.edu
