Anyone completed the WGU RN to BSN program?

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I am doing my research for an online RN to BSN program. I came across and I would like to hear from nurses who completed their online RN to BSN program. I am also wondering if their credits are easily transferable to other MSN and DNP programs.

Any response is highly appreciated.

Thanks

I finished the RN-BSN program in 13 weeks in the fall of 2015. I was put on bedrest at 28 weeks gestation so I used the time to finish school. I was only 3 weeks into the program and I was able to work on it 730am-5pm Monday thru Friday. It's totally doable, and I enjoyed it. My advisor was fantastic and didn't once try to slow me down or keep me from moving on. They have to approve for you to take each exam. There is a fb group that is very helpful with lots of resources. People did complain about different advisors not opening exams or saying they needed to study more before taking it, so I am grateful mine was so cooperative with me. I finished it 1 week before delivering then took a year off to be with the baby. I just started the FNP program at UT-Arlington in February this year. My degree transferred easily. I'm looking at finishing in Dec 2019 and never going to school again, though I've said that every time I finished from LPN to ASN to BSN to MSN. One day I really will stop going to school. :)

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I think you meant 13 months, not weeks. What is the fbook page?

Not unless she was pregnant for more than 13 months. She started the program when she was 25 weeks pregnant and finished a week before her child was born. It is possible to finish the program in 13 weeks.
