I was involved in a case (bad outcome) that is being reviewed and I am now supposed to have a phone conversation with the nurse expert who reviewed the chart. Has anyone had to do something like this before? I'm wondering what the motivations for this are...I know we can't give legal advice on here so I'm not really asking for that, just looking for experiences. Feel free to PM...
Thanks!

If you have malpractice/liability insurance, have you called them for advice? This is one of the services many offer, and now sounds like the time to take advantage of it.
No I don't have my own malpractice insurance.

I have been involved in several court cases, but I have never had to meet with an expert witness before. But I would have that conversation with someone from the legal department present.
