oh wow.congrats!where do you live in CA?
how hard was it to find a place to do your preceptorship?
any word of advice?
I live in the Central Valley. Wasn't too difficult. The trick is finding a place and a preceptor that is a good fit. Don't settle for the first one who says yes. Also, have a backup. Use the CAANP as a resource. Local meetings occur around the state every other month or so.
thank you for your posts!
i'm also applying for FNP online program - considering ISU and now USI as well ..
i also considered UAB but very competitive, they give preference to AL residents first. my friend was not able to get into the UAB post master's for same reason ... i just called them and said, they have very few spots left for out-of-state applicants for Spring 2010. is it the same case with USI? i'm planning to apply to these 2 programs and now i'm thinking if i should apply in other prog as well ..
thanks again!

I'm not sure what the deal is now over at USI. I keep hearing that they are not accepting any more FNP apps because they are swamped, then when I call I'm told they are still taking applications. Best thing to do is call USI nursing and ask for Franchesca. She will give you the straight deal. ISU, too, has a good program.
