I talked to the school, and they have many programs: phlebotomy, med assistant, MRI, ultrasound ... and LVN in the evening, so it looks like a good place for anyone still want to work full-time. Their website is http://www.imededu.com/Pages/Home.aspx
Anyone is attending there? If possible, please share your experience in class, clinical?
Thank you,
NM

It's quite a long commute for you from SJ to CCSF. Also, do you know of any people go to private LVN program in the area?

Hi, you might want to go to the voctional nursing official website bvnpt. you can check out the passing rate for that school. If Iam correct, they have a very low passing rate when it comes to taking the nclex exam. I worked with someone who is attending IME and they are not very happy with the school. I called the school and ask why they have a low passing rate, gave me some lame excuse of how they are going to help solve the problem. Be careful because it seems some schools are opening because of the money they can make. A nurse I know left her job to open a lvn school. over 20,000 per student!!! Western career 41,000. check out Boston Reed, they seem to have a higher pass rate. hope this helps a little. I was looking for a school in the bay area. But got accepted at Visalia adult school program. tution 2900 dollars.

Hello, I applied to the Boston Reed College and they have a class starting in Sep 08... And I am hoping I will get in.. The tuition is much better then any other school I looked into and its nights and weekedns so you could still work... Hope this helps...
Is this program in San Jose? Also, I have heard lots of bad things about Boston Reed from students of other programs, that they do not have a gơd clinical network. Sometimes you are on your own to find clinicals ... that probably will not work for LVN .
I have attended Boston Reed before and I think that its a good school. You have to be very focused!! The reaosn why they r much cheaper then other schools is becasue they have contracts with adult school and use their classrooms. As far as externships go I dont think that you have to find ur own site for the VN program but I do know that for the Medical Assistant program the wait for an externship can be up to a month and if you dont want to wait you can find ur own site... :):) They have classes all over I am starting in Martinez. Check out their website :):)

CCSF meaning " city college in Sf. If so can you let me know if they have bridge program LVN-RN. Just wondering how long is your RN program?. Currently I am enrolled in "private" LVN school.

Chao Ban!
I totally DO NOT recommend you to this school
they are very unorganized and like someone mention above their NCLEX passing score is very low not to mention you only have nursing home for clinical, No acute care whatsoever!!
teachers dont give a rat ass about you.

i just got into the lvn program. Do you know anything about the lvn to rn program in your school?
Yes, at CCSF, if you are lvn, you get to skip the 1st semester and go straight to 2nd semester. =)
