Anyone who has attended UPMC Shadyside?

U.S.A. Pennsylvania

I'm thinking about applying for UPMC Shadyside's spring semester in an attempt to save more money before beginning nursing school. My original plan was to attend UPMC Saint Margaret's RN program but they do not have a spring start date. I completed the PSB test for Saint Margaret's and I'm hoping it will apply towards an application to Shadyside since they are both UPMC. I have also completed A&P1 and 2, nutrition and human growth and development at Westmoreland County Community College and am planning on taking microbiology in the fall. I would greatly appreciate anyone who would be willing to share their story of their time there and how they did it. The whole process is so nerve racking to me. I don't want to begin when I'm not fully prepared, or choose the wrong program. Thank you in advance!

I am a graduate of Shadyside SON. The program is rigorous, but I believe that I received a high quality nursing education and I hit the floor fully prepared to function upon graduation. If you are in the full-time track, expect to spend 36+ hrs a week in class and clinical.

If you have any specific questions about the program feel free to ask and I will try to answer
