Anyone applying for WGTC RN program Fall 2010?

Published

I am applying for the Fall 2010 admittance deadline in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if anyone else here was planning on applying or already applied. I am taking my last 2 classes for selection this qtr and am enrolled in Micro for the summer qtr. I am also taking my CPR class this Saturday. My plan is to submit my application on my birthday (June 23), maybe it will bring me good luck. :D

I look forward to hearing from others who may be in RN school with me, if I get in.

Thank you so much Krista! I think Mrs. Harris was on vacation during the week of our deadline (July 1), so I guess it is taking a little longer than with you guys. Maybe we will get our interview letters this week and interviews the first week of August. I am hoping we get our acceptance letters before Aug 9, which is when registration for Fall starts. I need to know if I need to register for other classes or not. :) The wait is KILLING me!

I'm tired of waiting too!!! I did get my letter just giving my scores today. So maybe we will get interview letters soon. I'm just ready to start this phase of my life....or if I don't get in at least I can move on to something else. Hang in there everyone...almost there.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I talked to Mrs. Harris today. She said that there were around 164 applicants and that the interview letters should (hopefully) be mailed out Thursday. She advised that I go ahead and register for classes that I still need (speech and PSY2103) for Fall Quarter on Aug. 9th and that if I end up getting in the program, I can always drop later. So, looks like we won't know for sure for another couple of weeks.

Good Luck everyone!

Thanks Courtney!!! At least I won't be checking the mail like a madwoman for the next few days. What is a good comprehensive score on the worksheet before you have the interview? I just don't know where I stand. 164 sounds like a huge number of applicants so i'm sure the competition is tough...

You're welcome! I'm not sure what is considered a good score. She asked what mine was and then said that it was a good score, but she didn't indicate whether or not I would be granted an interview. Just a few more days!

I am so nervous. My friend got her interview letter today and I am so excited for her but I wish mine would be here already b cuz the wait is literally killing me ! Has anyone else gotten their interview letters yet?

Nothing for me yet...still waiting.

I did receive an interview letter today as well as a few of my friends/classmates. My interview is scheduled for Tuesday the 3rd. Maybe you guys will get your letters tomorrow. I live REALLY close to the Murphy campus, so the mail is very quick for me. Good luck guys!

LaRae99 what was your composite score if you don't mind me asking. What about nln score? I"m out of town till tomorrow and don't know where I stand...if you want to private message me that's fine too. Thanks for the info.

I'm not able to private message just yet (only a few more posts to go ;) ). But, I don't mind telling my scores. My composite was a 72.7. My NLN score was 97 and my grades are 1 B and 4 A's. I hope that helps!

PS. I know some people started receiving rejection letters today. :crying2:

LaRae99, I have not gotten an interview letter yet but with an NLN of 96 and A's in all the cores do you think I will even get one? I am so freaking out here because all the rest of my friends got their letter and I live close to the Murphy campus. Im in Temple and I do not understand why I have not received anything yet.

I would think that you would get an interview. Your total score is higher than mine, I think. I know when I lived in Temple, the mail really wasn't that great. Maybe it is just a mail delay. If you haven't gotten anything by Monday afternoon, I would call. I know interviews are going on Tuesday and Wednesday. I would hate for you to miss out! Good Luck!
