HI is one of the easiest states, as long as you plan and work and practice there after you get your license. One must be prepared to watch their mango and pineapple plantings become bearable fruits for the many years to come. A state where your kids will go to school till college age.
There's been recent threads of others trying to endorse from HI to NV and CA and it's not going to happen. One must still pass and meet the other state's requirements as that means having to re-submit all your documentations as if applying for the initial licensure.
That's why I've been telling so many unless you have the money and lots of time to do this "state-hopping" around, then go for it, just know in the end, you'll be right back to the very first square in the nursing application process and spend $$$ in non refundable fees.
Wasting more valuable that one should be looking for a job after getting the RN license, as it is, all this time wasted, just takes one out of being considered a "new grad" to apply into the new grad programs, as the hospitals look at the year you graduated, not the year one passes the NCLEX-RN, a very big misconception with so many kababayans. This is true for the majority of the US hospitals, some require less than one year of RN experience, some 6 months or less, some zero.
Don't forget the extra time and money to spend for possible additional course evaluation services and English exams for those states that requires them.
