I am in the Prince Tech LPN program right now and i really do not understand why they changed up everything ranging from what type of test to take in order to get in - what is also required to get in like intro to psych, math, english etc. i asked my director and the answer that she gave me was that she does not know either.
Does anyone here know?
I am just curious.

Hi, I'm in the Kaynor tech program... the reason for the additional classes is so the LPN RN bridge will go smoother. Now if you dont have bio, you can get it at the school your first semester. along with developmental psych. My main problem is the community colleges dont seem to understand the bridge building process. When I spoke to someone at Gateway, they told me it new to them too, and still didnt have a set policy yet about what to take from LPN tech schools. They have never taken Biology or developmental psych before because it was not concerned college level, but now because its taught by the instructors and banked and audited by Charter Oak College, its college level. But it comes with a price. In order for Charter Oak to release a college transcript on thoses classes taken in the tech school, you have to pay an additional $200.00 for them to transcipt them for you.
anyway, if you are trying to become a LPN in CT, the best way to go if you can is the state schools... cheap and good.
