Hi, I just finished taking the TEAS and am applying to the Bon Secours 2014 Fall program. Anyone else applying and if so, how did you do on the TEAS? It's really exciting and with that comes being anxious too..........
Lalalan8,
Orientation was business casual. Most people had on a nice pair of pants and a nice shirt. Not many jeans (they didn't seem appropriate). Be mindful that we had a few "team building" exercises that required us to do a project on the floor in groups. You may or may not have that, depending on the size of the group. There were a few in dresses/heels, but that that just seemed too dressy. Please note this is just my opinion and observations. EVERYONE looked nice: I think "business casual" is appropriate.
I'm sure we will meet in January. We should be getting our schedules any day now. Good luck with getting all of your Sonis, NetPartner items, it is quite a bit of information.
So happy for you and I look forward to meeting you.~Supermom

I think your best bet would be to call the school and speak with their admissions office. I know they do have evening classes available, but I'm most sure if ALL of them can be taken at night. Their admissions office is super-friendly and are happy to answer questions. Hope that helps!
Once admitted, there will be a "checklist" of items you will need to do. You will have student access (YAY!) and you will have your own sites to use on each BSMCON page in the "Student" section. They explain everything and give you a time frame to complete by. There are mandatory drug screenings, background checks and other basic information videos you will need to complete. They consist of proper hand-washing, etc. They also require you to upload your immunization records and physical results. I just used my iPhone and took pictures then uploaded them that way. I'm sure there are other methods. It seems daunting at first, but just sit down on a nice Saturday afternoon and knock them all out at once. Also you will need to complete BLS (I did mine there at the College and it was great!).
Good luck and I bet you can't wait to start too!!
ohh I didn't know about all that! So that's exciting to know. Uhhh yeah I knew about the drug test, background check, and immunization records..not looking forward to getting my immunization records hopefully that's all at one doctors office and I don't have to run around. Well thank you so much for your help! I greatly appreciate it :) I am beyond excited!! I still feel like I'm on cloud nine knowing I got in. Have you gotten your schedule yet?!
Hi beesmorales,
I entered the program with a 4.0 and an 88 on the TEAS. I know they rely on the TEAS scores to weed out the lower grades. The GPA comes second. If you have a lower GPA or an issue with a grade, be sure to write a separate letter (in addition to your entrance essay) explaining your circumstances. They are very receptive to that.
I graduate this year......its been a LONG road but I'm so excited and it seem like yesterday that I wrote this post....
You can do it!
I"m happy to answer any questions you may have~
Good Luck!!!
