Anyone applying for augusta state university bsn 2010

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello guys,

is any one here applying for augusta state university first bsn program in spring 2010??

I applied to MCG and Umass Boston but my first choice is ASU because of the accelerated program. I'm gonna wait to get certified as well but I just feel like it's cutting it close if they don't send out acceptance letters until December. They told my that they will send out acceptance letters around thanksgiving that would be tentative upon this semester. But I'm starting to think that it won't be until December either.

well goodluck...i wanted to apply for MCG also but when i called, they told me that their average gpa of accepted students were 3.5. pretty high...well hopefully ASU sends out the letters as soon as possible

yeah my gpa's not quite that high cause I had to retake a class and they count all the classes you've ever taken, not just your last attempt but I figured I would apply anyways, we'll see. A classmate of mine who also applied to ASU said she met with her advisor last week and she told her that they would be mailing out letters within 2 weeks so hopefully in a week or so we should hear something. have you applied to any other schools?

i did not apply for any other programs...but most of the schools i wanted to apply for only takes application for the fall...two more weeks is kind of pushing it. I really pray i get in...Do you happen to know anything about post-bac students?? I already hava a degree and I am not sure how that would affect my chances of getting in..

Hey there,

Just found the post.... I was wondering if either of you were accepted. I got my letter and I'm excited to start in a few weeks. I got my BLS certification last week. Have either of you been able to register for classes?

hello there! I have a question for you all! I am trying to apply to ASU for fall 2010. but the website is confusing me! I will be transferring so will I need to call my advisor? and I'm having trouble even finding the application! Any help will be appreciated and good luck in getting in!

csage1,

You won't be able to get an application until after you meet with your advisor and meet all the pre-req criteria. The best thing you can do is meet with you advisor right away. Good luck to you!

alright thank you verry much!

Hey you all...i was wondering if if we have to take the teas test because I went on their website but did not see any information about the teas test

Hey Amelia,

Yes, you do have to take the TEAS test. It must be done (in addition to meeting all pre-req's and being advised) before you can get an application for the program. I think Feb. is the deadline for Fall 2010. Good luck to you!

Thank you so much..I have already taken it at Clayton State in September but now Clayton is requiring everyone to who took it during fall to take it again starting January because they only take version 5 and what we took was 4..do you know which one Augusta State needs and also how can I be advised?Do I have to go up to the school because i live in Atlanta and it is going to be really hard for me to make the trip over there just to be advised since i have school mon-fri plus work

No problem! The one I took at Augusta State, in September, was the TEAS 4.0. To be honest, I think they want you to physically come in and be advised. You also need to have been accepted into Augusta State in order to get an appt. It sucks because I had to work an appt in around my full time work schedule. I have an 8-5! Since you're out of town, they may give you some slack. You're transcripts need to have been sent from Clayton State, too so they can evaluate whether or not your class credit will transfer. If your school is part of the University System of Georgia, then you should have little to no problem. Here's hoping for a little understanding for your situation.... The staff were real sticklers about giving the application out, though. That was another thing I had to come into the department for. Perhaps you can take a day off to get some of the preliminary stuff out the way. For now, go online and see who your advisor will be. They assign them to students alphabetically. Contact your "advisor" via e-mail and explain your situation from there. If you're lucky, your advisor may be an advocate for you and help you get some of that adminstrative stuff out the way so you can meet the application deadline.
