Anyone applied before RN to BSN complete?

Wow, some of these programs require you to apply so far before the course starts. I've been an RN for 17 years, 7 years in ICU, CCRN, and in the middle of a RN to BSN program. I've been in interventional radiology (also certified in that, CRN) for a few years so I'm about to go back in the ICU, as much as possible, to update ICU experience. My grades are great (minus my freshman year 20 years ago) and I'm studying for the GRE. I really don't want to wait until I completely finish the BSN program before I even apply as that could add another year; I'm no spring chicken!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

By all means apply! I asked this same question not too long ago and got favorable responses. But the best responses I got were from the program directors themselves. All told me as long as you will be finished before the start date of the program, it will be fine. Best of luck!

That sounds great! Thank you so much.

I applied this spring and won't graduate from RN-BSN till August. That was the first thing they asked in interview, "when is your graduation date?" and then made sure I understood that if accepted I could only enter if I actually graduate. I think from my standpoint that it may have hurt my chances. I honeslty felt that they were more apt to choose someone who already met all the requirements. If I don't get in this year I'll just reapply for next year.
