Anyone applied to or gone through WGU's Pre-licensure program in Indy

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I was curious if anyone else has gone through or applied to WGU's Pre-licensure Nursing program? I was told by someone I work with that it is a good program, but was wanting some more feedback from others. I have a few more classes that I need to complete and I still need to take the TEAS test before I can apply, but was wanting other students' thoughts on the program. Any feedback is appreciated!!

I am a clinical instructor for the Indianapolis cohort. It is an excellent program- truly. Good clinical experiences in the VA/ Eskenazi /Community and (by 2016) St. Vincent. Most of my students got jobs soon after graduation, and the NCLEX pass rate is good.

I love the way the program is set up.

Thank you for your response. I work for Community so I have heard a little about the school through them as well. It's great to know that the NCLEX pass rate is good. Do you by chance know how competitive the program is to get in? I don't have clinical experience and saw that there is an assessment that tests nursing skills prior to acceptance so I wasn't sure if this would hinder me getting into the program.

I am really not qualified to speak on the admission side of things. Call and ask to speak with an admissions counselor who is familiar with the pre-licensure program (some are not). they should be able to help you.
