Anyone with Access Center experience??

I recently accepted a part time RN position at an access center. I shadowed a nurse for about an hour and I really think I am going to like it. Does anyone have any tips on how to be successful in this role and what can I expect?

Is that the same as a transfer center? Like triage of new patients coming into the hospital? That is where I just shadowed and liked it..I think the lack of responses may be from the fact that the name of this role varies. You are an ED nurse? The manager of mine said ED nurses tend to be very good at that job.
