Hello, I recently found out that I was accepted for August 1 start. :heartbeat Is there anyone else out there? I think I am 95% sure that i will be attending but this is the only school I heard back from so far. Just wanted to talk with some of you to piece some of the info together! :lol2:

Hey, Jayden!!...I remember you from a previous post....I too am going to Jeff to complete my BSN....kinda makes sense because I already have all the necessary prereqs done, but will be doing it while working 'cause I NEED TO MAKE WORK!!!....lol...

Hey Nurse Betty, I do remember you from another post. Don't remember which one. Did you apply to AMH or Aria too? Just wondering if I saw you on one of those posts. Yea I pretty much wanted to start with a BSN program but hey baby steps. I am so ready to start. I have already started looking at stethoscopes! lol They have the new rainbow by Littman it's all the rage:) I am so excited. I don't think I have ever wanted the summer to end this quickly in my entire life :heartbeat. On the other hand, it will be here before we know it then we will be begging for some time to smell the roses ;) Here's to us RMH SON class of 2013!:nurse:

I mailed my application on 4/21. Patty called me that Monday (4/25) to set up an interview, and I interviewed that Thursday (4/28). It was a really quick turnaround, probably because I waited so long to turn in my application. Good luck!

thank you!!! GOODLUCK!! i hope i get a call by at least tues, how did the interview go, were there alot of staff at the interview? what questions did they ask? did they say when You should be hearing a decision??

Yes stethoscopes! I just google the word and many come up. They also have on the website their uniform store which is downtown. Thats where we have to purchase the uniform but they have other things, stethoscopes, shoes and things. Here's the website for new students http://www.roxboroughmemorial.com/Incoming_Students_Home.php and here's the website for uniforms store which MUST be purchased by July 1st. http://www.centraluniforms.com/servlet/-strse-School-Uniforms-cln-Roxboro-Nursing-School/Categories . I think a facebook page would be good :D

Hey JPK7908! Welcome! it was a fairly quick process. Once i interviewed Patti told me to give her about 1 week - 2 weeks and she called me somewhere in the middle and then i received my letter. She is a sweet lady very understanding she is a real person and understands us I think. She is an RN herself and she knows how tough this road can be. Let her know you are up for the challenge but understand that this will be a rough road but you are ready to take it on!

You will be fine! Good Luck!

mgamp. Have you heard anything yet?

Patty actually told me after we were finished the interview portion of our meeting that I was going to be accepted and to expect a formal letter in the mail soon. I just got that letter today! I agree, Patty was such a friendly person that I felt very at ease throughout my interview. It was more like a casual conversation.

P.S. Did anyone read the article in the current "Philadelphia" magazine? They asked a panel of local nurses to address a few concerns patients have, like whether or not it's okay to ask a lot of questions. I thought it was a fairly good article, and I actually know one of the nurses they spoke to!

The samething happend to me....After the interview with Patti she told me on the spot that I was accepted and that I would get an Acceptance letter in the mail, which I did.

Patti was sooo nice and pleasant and made the interview and enjoyable process not stressful. I hope all the nursing faculty/professors are just as nice....Patti says that the teachers really want the students to succeed and are always there to help.....That's probably why they were able to achieve 100% pass rate this year on Nclex....

Thanks, Jayden....I'm gonna check these sites out.....

Patti told me that she wanted to accept me right after my interview as well but because I was still completing 3 of the pre reqs plus a history class. She wanted to see my midterm grades to make sure everything was on the up and up. It was I had all As for midterms so once she Rec my midterm grades (I had to print them and mail them) she called me and I was in!
