Hi,

I recently got accepted in Valencia nursing program for summer semester. I was checking the job openings and noticed that most companies hire or prefer BSN. I have 2 very young kids and one of them gets therapies 25 hours of week which makes me very busy during the day. I have a GPA of 4.0 and have about 2 weeks left to retake the TEAS and apply for UCF, but UCF program is very intense and will put a lot of pressure on me and my family. I was wondering if I really will struggle to find a job in Orlando with ASN? Is it true that most hospitals don't hire ASNs anymore?

@BSN2277 Question, I applied back in June 2018 and I was waitlisted for Summer 2019, does that mean I have a good chance at getting into the Summer program? & yes I did meet all the requirements!

Yes, I think you will get in. I can't imagine why you wouldn't. Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to your thread with the timeline, you applied and then quickly got waitlisted for the Spring and then Summer. So I would presume you would be first on the list. If you weren't going to be accepted into the program, they would've notified you with the reason why. I know it's tough waiting, but stay positive and don't let your mind play tricks on you!
