Anybody else get a very sweet rejection letter?

Well, got my letter this weekend...as I expected, I didn't get in because I hadn't completed all the pre-nursing courses, and all the slots were filled by students who had. Still, the letter was very nice and basically stated that the only reason I wasn't accepted was because I hadn't taken A&P II or Micro yet, and that they strongly encouraged me to finish those classes and apply again. How nice, I figured it would just be a "thanks but no thanks" sort of deal, but they are actually trying to help me along. It helped take the sting out of the rejection. Oh well, I'm taking Micro this summer and A&P II in the fall, and then hopefully I'll get in on the next go-round. Anybody else get a nice rejection letter? Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I received my rejection letter today . There was no explanation for me. I've taken everything I can to get into clinicals at this school so I guess I will apply to other schools and then apply for clinical next spring hopefully.

Are you all applying to just ADN or BSN programs because another option is an LPN program especially if the area you live in or plan to live in hires LPN's at a hospital and that's where you plan to work as opposed to a LTC or a correctional facility.

I know for a fact that a school here in NC offers a LPN to BSN program. I'm not sure if the program is any good but there has to be other schools across the country that offer a similar program.

I wish you the best in whatever it is you all decide to do. I encourage you to not give up. You're bound to get in somewhere.

Im sorry everyone! im sitting here waiting on any kind of letter! ha! i was wondering when all of your schools deadlines were to already be getting letters so maybe i would have a clue when to expect mine! One of the schools im applying tos apps. arent even due untill June 13 so we wont know untill late July! Uggh!

I'm sorry you didn't get in! Try other schools and other programs (LPN, ADN, BSN, etc), someone is bound to accept you. Keep your chin up, it will happen!:icon_hug:

The one I just applied to was an ASN program. I am thinking about applying to a diploma program for the spring.

I also got the wonderful rejection letter. PreRN Katie, I believe we go to the same school if I remember correctly from another post. I am also taking Micro this summer along with clinical calculations. Then I will be through with the pre-reqs!! Hopefully we will be in the program soon.

Hi backtoschool31! You go to Highlands right? That's the one I got the nice rejection letter from. :chuckle Did you get rejected for Fall 08 too? I'm taking A&P II this summer at Kennesaw and then Micro in the fall at Highlands (well, hopefully...I haven't been able to register yet since I still need to get my vaccination recs in). I'm also taking chem in the fall at Kennesaw (it's going to be a crazy semester!) and then I'll be done with prereqs too. Hopefully I'll get in Fall 09 or even for the January 09 program. Do you know which one you're applying to (or both) yet?

Yes, I am at Highlands. I was going to the branch in Acworh, but now will have to go in Rome. I did get the rejection letter for this fall. I will reapply for Spring 09. I am hoping I will get in for that semester. I have a friend who did get in and we had very similar scores, so hopefully next semester. Hopefully, we will be in the program soon enough!!

Yes, I received a rejection letter yesterday. No reason given. It just states that they received applications from many qualified individuals and that they are limited by the number of available seats allotted...This is my first attempt.
