Just wanting to get some feedback on living in Windsor or Sarnia and commuting to michigan. I hear many nurses are returning to their canadian positions. I work in the ICU in toronto and have family in WIndsor. I know the dollar isn;t the greatest right now but my main reason is to obtain full time for benefits for my kids as my wife is on Mat and is a physio and might have a harder time finding work. Also plan to try and find a casual position in Canada to keep my foot in the door here.
How do the taxes work in this case?
Even at par is there still a benefit to crossing the border?
Also anyone else here a manager or director and heard anything about the hiring freezes and expected length.
