Congratulations on your acceptance to UF's ABSN program!! I graduated from there for my 1st degree (Psychology), but I do not know anything about the nursing school other than what is listed on the website - and that it is very competitive to get into!
Gainesville is known mostly for UF - it is a big college town. You will see a lot of school spirit in that town. There are good places to eat and a good selection of apartments and other affordable living arrangements. As far as entertainment, I don't really know because I am not into the social scene.
Now Orlando on the other hand.....LOTS of tourist-y things to do and see!!! I'm biased though. I don't know anything about the living conditions there. I'm sure there are good places to eat, as it is a big place for tourists. About an hour drive from the beaches.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!! And congrats again!! Good luck as you wait to hear back from UCF!

Did you ever make your decision?
I turned down UCF and accepted UF and we start so soon! I'll be commuting from Ocala and have a toddler that I'll be juggling child care w/ on campus between two nannies. This will be her first time away from me.... :uhoh21:
I went to UF (am a 4th-generation grad) as an undergrad so it is pretty exciting to be coming back.

I've been accepted to UFs Accelerated BSN program and I'm waiting to hear from UCF. I never thought I'd get into to UF so now I might have to choose between the two.
Does anyone have any random tidbits they'd like to share about either school's pros and cons? I've scoured the websites already; I'm looking for insider information on clinicals, professors, other students, Gainesville/Orlando etc.
Thanks!
