Any thoughts of working in UNC Medical Center

I have an offer to UNC Medical Center RN New Grad Program. Does anyone know if it is a good friendly hospital to new grads?

I started at UNC as new grad. It is very new grad friendly. You do a year long residency program. Meet monthly. Depending on which unit you work on, you may meet more for critical care classes. You have to complete a new grad project as part of the residency program. It's not stressful. I have been at UNC for 5 years, so far it's be good.

Thanks. Which unit are you in? "Meet monthly", do you mean the class every month in New Grad Program?

I am at the "other" blue hosp and have heard great things about UNC. It is a little too far for me to drive. I did a residency program where I am at and it was great. very supportive.

I am pretty sure they are the same there. NC is great. Lots of stuff to do here!
