I know this has nothing to do with nursing, but I am starting the BSN program at LSU in New Orleans in August and I need to find childcare for my three year old daughter and one year old son. I had them in UNO's Children's Center while I did my prereq's at UNO, and it was a great place for them and really cheap. LSU doesn't have a childcare program and I don't want to pay an arm and a leg at a regular daycare because I won't be working during school and I am not eligible for childcare assistance.
Does anyone know of any good daycare programs in the New Orleans area with good hours and isn't too expensive?? I am looking for a place that has a good learning atmosphere and good teachers, not just babysitters. Does anyone else have this problem? Where do you send your kids?? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
