Any Suggestions for New Grads in Austin, TX?

I just graduated with my RN-BSN in December '09. I've applied to several new grad positions in DFW and in Austin. Every place I have applied has told me that the positions have been filled already. I am still waiting to hear back from Seton however, and if I do get a position at one of their hospitals it is an RN Residency Program that would start in February. But, if I don't get it, I will have to start all over with the application process.

Does anyone have any suggestions about where I should apply in the Austin area? I would prefer to live in Austin, but if it is necessary I would take a job in the DFW area also. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Thank you!!!

Did you ever find an answer or a job? I'm a new grad and will be relocating to Austin, I'm looking for more information regarding how/where to get a job.

i'm interested also, i'm considering eventually moving to the austin/san antonio area eventually with an ADN

No sorry, I didn't really get an answer to this post.

From what I am able to determine there are two major hospital chains that own 90% of the hospital in the austin area: seton and st. davids. Once you apply to these, the only thing left are the smaller hospital on the outskirts, mental hospitals, and clinics.

Apparently austin is saturated with new grads and it's hard to find a job. Either that or I'm just that unlucky! Would still love some additional information though, if anyone has anything to offer! :)
