I recall doing a paper like that once in school.
The approach that I took (I wasn't trying to be morbid) was writing it as an eulogy. I wanted to tell about both my accomplishments and my goals. I thought that writing in that manner would be a neat way to be able to combine both the past and future.
Just an idea. :)
