Hello nursing friends!
My husband and I were looking to re-locate from Houston, TX to Southern California area next summer. I have my BSN, 1yr CCU/stepdown and I'm currently working in the ICU where I've been for the past yr. I've heard hiring in this area is extremely competitive and I was just wondering if maybe it would be easier to get a job through a travel agency as opposed to a staff position in a hospital? Not sure if that is true or not, but does anyone knows if there are any agencies that will send nurses to Southern California, specifically San Diego area?
I would love to hear if anyone has had any great experiences with an agency sending them to this area? Any details about how it all works would be greatly appreciated!! since unfortunately, I consider myself pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to travel nursing.
Thank you!

I have ha an excellent experience with my agency and am working is orange county. Because it is competitive I chose to work in orange county as opposed to San Diego and am glad I did! This area is beautiful!
Aw that's awesome! Where did you travel from? Which hospital do you work at? Did you get to choose or do they assign you? And do they pay well enough to live nearby?

Greetings from L.A. My current company has several of us at USC. While I don't particularly recommend CCTC or USC, there are a few options in the area. One to avoid is Apple Valley.
You might try American Mobile - they're headquartered in - San Diego!
