Any slow paced online RN to BSN programs?

Online University | Online Degree Programs | WGU has six month long terms and you work at your pace..12 credits/ term but again you have six month to complete.

I would not recommend WGU for slow paced as you pay a fixed fee per semester without regard to the number of classes you take. It has the potential to be among the most expensive schools if you take years to finish your degree. I would recommend taking a look at Aspen university where you take one class at a time and it's a fixed fee where you pay $250 per month with a cap (the school basically provides close to a $11,000 interest free loan).

Hi SentinelTruth, ADN, RN!

First, let me tell you that I'm the RN-to-BSN program director at Aspen University, but there's a really good reason why I work there. I was in a similar position with my MSN - my son was born when I was about half-way into it. I chose to switch my focus and slow down. Aspen let me do that. Classes start every 2 weeks and are 8 weeks in length. So, I could take one class, then take a couple weeks off or a month before starting another one. In the past I have been a student at and worked at several online universities, and I have been consistently happy here at Aspen. I love the interaction I, as the program director, get with my students. We work hard to ensure the program is do-able for any college-worthy student (which let's face it, means all nurses) with a family, FT job, etc, while still maintaining the rigor required of a CCNE accredited program.
