Hi all,
I am thinking of a nurse career, but not sure I qualify for fulfilling all the nurse duties...
A little bit about my background and some questions (highlighted with bold). I immigrated to Canada 6 years ago, and by my education, I am a teacher. But of course, I need to study again to be a nurse here in Canada. I believe, practices in this area are all the same with USA..
The main thing I am worrying about: if I will be able to fulfill all daily routines as a nurse. I have a sport trauma and herniated spine chord disks with several protrusions. Sometimes I feel strong pain, but I can control it myself with painkillers. I am not old, only 39 and can learn very fast. Do you think I can become a nurse with such condition?
I feel I need to help people, as a nurse or a doctor. But I doubt I have enough time and funds to be a doctor. So, I hope I am able to be a nurse. Do you have friends/co-workers who have any health problems but successfully work as the nurses at the hospital?
Thanks for any opinion guys...
