Any PINS (Post Intensive Care Unit) nurses,

I am a new grad and was just hired to work in PINS. I was just wondering what is a typical day like for you? What type of patients do you get? What is the nurse to patient ration? Do you like the unit? Any advice to a new nurse?

Do you mean something like StepDown or PCU?? I've never heard of PINS.

Yes, it's a step down unit - the patients are stable enough to leave ICU but they are still unstable for med surg.
