U.S.A. Missouri

Just wondering if anyone else out there was in the process of being accepted at Park? I am getting ready to take the Entrance Exam for the LPN-RN bridge program...Any advice please?

Thanks:)

I will also be attending Park University this fall. I am just wrapping up Penn Valley's LPN Program now.

Ok ladies, any advice for taking the test or the program thus far?? I am going to attempt the test again next year. PM me.

Hey there. I am curious how the Park program is going? I am scheduled to test in May. How many students did they select? Thanks! =)

I am scheduled to take the test in May as well. I took it last year and didn't do so hot! I really need to find out how to study for this test! Last year I believe they selected 60. Ranking them by score from highest to lowest.

I got the Kaplan nursing entrance exam book they recommended to study from. Do you know anyone that has taken the program? I'm curious how intense it is?!

I am taking the entrance testing in May. Several of the girls at my job all went through the program 2 years ago. They said it was intense, but everyone recommended it. I have been studying the Kaplan book, and one of my fundementals book from my LPN program. I've been out of school for several years, so the tests have me a bit worried!

I've been out of school for 7 years now. Nervous about it too, but ready to become a RN. I hope and pray I get in! =) I've heard stories about the program being a lot of paper assignments.

I was going through stalking this convo even though it's old. Just did my Park testing today - I got a 81% & 69.7% on the Fundamentals of Nursing. I hope it's decent enough to get in since it's the LAST bridge program they will be offering. So question --- have those who got accepted here graduated already? Any suggestions?

I feel kinda creeped out about going to school in a cave - but you got to do what you got to do. :/

I wanted to make another post but couldn't remember how to do it so I logged off this morning. lol. I am scheduled to take the test in May again. I know my admissions person told me that only had about 60 people apply. Were there a lot of people in your testing session? And since they accept 65 into the program will they just accept everyone since it is the last ADN class??? lol Wishful thinking I guess. I am still last minute studying last year I didn't do so hot on the science portion! Feel free to PM me! I am open to disscuss!

I made a new 2016 post but I didn't know if anyone would find it so I commented on here too. I actually tested today and there were 4 others who tested with me. I know the deadline to apply for the "cohort" was April 15th and then all the admission testing had to be taken by today @ 4pm for the Fall Program (or maybe it was May 20th).

This is may be wrong too but I seem to remember the proctor saying that they were only accepting 40/45 this year but she didn't mention how many applicants there were. I was spazzed out and focused on the test so her words were one in ear and out the other. They are getting rid of the ADN program since most hospitals/employers won't hire ADN nurses. I'll worry about that when I get there… That's what everyone told me as I went through LPN school too and I have had no problem. I hope they just accept everyone!...

I can't PM since I'm a new member. I have to have 15 posts or something - UGH!

I didn't know that was a rule lol. Oh ok. I take mine on the 20th. I hope they do accept everyone. That is the same thing I said. Everybody's journey is not going to be the same. As for me, I have to take it one step at a time! Listening to everyone will make you crazy. Good luck! That sounds promising since they only had 4 in your testing session. Shoot, last year It was about 30 people! What did you use to study?

I took the tests and got a 78% on the first test and 62.7% on Fundamentals. The day I was there, they said 70 applied and they could take up to 65. The second lady said they'd take up to 40. I guess now it's just a waiting game!

I tested May 9th and there were only 5 of us.
