Any others who had to drop out of nursing school and later returned?

How was your experience? How long did you wait to return and was the transition easy for you for being out of school for some time? I had to drop earlier this year and I moved from California to France. My husband and I will not be returning to California for another 2 years. When I left, one of the employees told me I had a 5 year opportunity to come back and pick up from where I started (level 3 out of 4 levels.) I was just interested in how your transitions were.

It was still a major transition with work and my daughter. But I tell you it's all possible:) I'm sure they have great schools out in France. Good luck on everything

I dropped out in October of 2012 to take care of my father after we found out he had stage IV bone cancer- I will be returning in January '14 and I couldn't be more happy. I wasn't sure this was what I wanted a few years ago, but now I'm 100% sure and committed to becoming a nurse!

ive dropped twice. my first semester I got pregnant at thr end of the spring semester, I tried going back that august but they were really rude about it and basicly told me I was wasting my time and theirs so I walked away. I went back to a different school when my son was 6 months old, and had to start over because my credits didn't transfer. then 3 months in I got into 2 car accidents in 3 weeks and we only had a small amount of time we could miss in the entire 15 months and I had used 95% of it from the car wrecks.

so I started over again this past November at a different school, at first its hard to get back into the idea of studying constantly, but being in school before definitely helped since I had to start completely over I felt it was kind of an advantage that I had that knowledge already
