Any New Yorkers in nursing school?

U.S.A. New York

Edited* I just realized that this is a NYC forum lol, but I can't change the topic name.

well hi everyone,

I'm thinkin about going into a nursing program in NYC.

However, I have no idea which school I should go to, I've heard about BMCC, Laguardia, Bronx CC, KingsBoro and Citytech?

I heard BMCC is good, but I also heard the professors are horrible? I have a friend that went there and she said her professor treated her badly, saying she would never make it. woah :uhoh3: and that the program is extremely competetive

and I heard Citytech is a lot easier to get into the program because there arent as many people trying out there. However it's a senior college so it would be a lot more expensive.

Now Kingsboro, I heard this school is really hard, and it's kinda far in Brooklyn somewhere near Coney Island. However, i haven't heard that much about this school exept that it's extremely competetive as well.

I heard Laguardia is a good school, but isn't it the second hardest school after Hunter?

So i was wondering, which school is good, and not too extremely competetive?

Thanks in advance ;)

Hi Im from New York what nursing program are you interested in ...RN oe LPN...and are you just considering the city??...Westchester Community College is good...thats in Westchester County...they are very strict to get in...but it is one of the best nursing programs...its not a bad commute either from the city...or you can also try Cochran school of nuring in Yonkers which is closer to the city too..they have a 2 year program...there is also Dorothy Hopfer school of nursing in Mt Vernon...another 2 year program for RN..then there is BOCES one in Yorktown hieghts...thats in the burbs thats an LPN program...they are very good schools...check them out and good luck
