Any other Military spouse students here?

Are you basing the program you choose on your current orders and when you are expected to transfer?

Have you started a program and then had to move before you finish?

We have 17 years in the Navy, 13 of it married, I am now starting my 3rd attempt to finish my schooling. I have attended the University of Rhode Island, Trident Technical College (SC) and now Tidewater Technical College (VA) and hope to finish finally. We just received orders to stay here another 4 years, so I am going to just get it done. One of the worst parts of starting the program all over the country is not all classes are transferable, that was a surprise to me, and an elbow to the eye. None of my math transfered! NOT ONE CLASS!

I agree, stay! Like I mentioned before, I did it as well. It's tough, but doable! You don't want to waste all that time and money for 1 semester!

Army wife here too :-). I start nursing school this Fall and we already know that DH will PCS next year and I will stay here with the kids until I graduate. It sucks and I'm not looking forward to him leaving but I have to do this and he is 100% supportive which helps. I think my biggest fear about him leaving is that I'll lose all my support. We don't have family anywhere close to us and I know nursing school is going to be tough. I wonder what I'll do if the kids get sick and I have clinicals, etc.

I'm a Navy wife. My husband is stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. That is my fear also, if he gets orders while I'm trying to get accepted into Sentara BSN program here in Virginia. I just don't want to have to uproot and start all over!!
