I join this side today. I glad I did. I will be started the Direct entry nursing at MGH this fall 07. I am asking for advise for current student there. I like to know how the program look like. Do students have time for family and friend while during the program. I heard that it is very intensive. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks Chello32!

Hi Chello :)

I am a prenursing student currently,am taking a year to do my prerequisites, and then hope to apply to do the direct entry MSN in Fall 2008 at MGHIHP. I already have a Bachelors degree, although I am from the UK so my admissions process is a little different to the US route as I have to have proof of funds etc to get the student Visa. I've spoken to the admissions people at MGH and they have said I have as good a chance as anyone to get in, based on my previous education and experience. So I am crossing everything that I can keep a good GPA this year, and pass the GRE with good results, and hopefully get in! My ambition is to work as a NP in NICU or PICU. I have a lot of experience with infants as I have spent 10 years being a specialised nanny, concentrating on newborn and infant care. Anyway, I would love to chat more with you especially once you start, as it would be great to get an insiders view! Good luck, and congratulations for getting in!

K :)
